We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Chartering Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the Chartering Manager to secure cargo and manage vessel charters, ensuring both maximum profitability and operational efficiency for the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Chartering Manager in securing profitable cargo and managing vessel charters effectively.
- Negotiate and finalize charter party agreements in alignment with company policies and industry standards.
- Monitor freight markets, analyze trends, and provide insights to optimize chartering strategies.
- Ensure all chartering activities comply with international shipping laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Liaise with ship owners, brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records of fixtures, contracts, and related documentation.
- Assist in resolving any operational or commercial disputes that may arise during the execution of charters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in shipping, chartering, or freight operations.
- Strong familiarity with charter party agreements, freight markets, and standard industry practices.
- Solid understanding of international shipping laws and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
