Department: CAE Quality Center
Position: CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Quality Expert/Specialist
Location: Symphony Building, Hanoi, Vietnam
Lead strategic development of 3D CFD Domain; to lead calibration resources for CFD systems; to manage functional development for Flow and Thermal systems; to develop and manage suppliers for the purpose of creating control systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree is needed and Master's degree a plus
- Background in Energy / Thermal / Automotive / Aerospace Engineering
- 10+ years minimum of working experience as CFD simulation Management positions of thermal components and systems in automotive product development
- At least 7+ years of automotive experience in CFD Management using various 3D simulation software
- Fluid mechanics and heat transfer in automotive systems including laminar and turbulent flow as well as convection, conduction and radiation
- Experienced in using STAR-CCM+ or alternative commercial CFD codes for conjugate heat transfer analysis
- Experienced in meshing large assemblies (100+ part count), java scripting, running and debugging jobs on clusters
- Experience with multi-physics and multi-phase steady state and transient simulations
- Extensive experience in hybrid/electric vehicle thermal systems
- Work experience in Global Automotive OEM strongly preferred ; Startup experience is a plus
- Accustomed to working in a rapidly changing, high growth environment
- Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes
- Good presentation skills with ability to present the program summary to the management and other stakeholders
- Good communication skills to explain the concepts perceived with clarity and detail to the team
- Good cross cultural inter-personal people management experience
- Hands on 3D CFD modeling experience including Multiphase simulations, using ANSYS Fluent or STAR-CCM+ within OEM(s) including interior and exterior, transient and steady-state flow regime modeling
- Basic English knowledge both oral and written
