OVERVIEW:

Position:Certification Compliance Specialist (Robotics)

Division - Department: Technology Division, Product Management Department

Report to: Head of Product Management Department

Location: Hanoi, Vietnam

Job summary:

You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing certification processes for the humanoid robot, covering both hardware and software components. You will work closely with QA, Hardware, Software, Firmware, AI/ML, Legal, and external certification labs to ensure the robot meets required regulations before mass deployment.

This position is open to candidates who have experience in certifications for hardware or IoT/robotics/consumer electronics products.

REQUIREMENTS:

Relevant education and experience

• 25 years experience in product certification (robotics, IoT, consumer electronics, medical, automotive).
• Understanding of electrical safety, mechanical safety, EMC, wireless certification.
• Experience working with certification labs.
• Ability to read technical documents (schematics, PCB layout, architecture).
• Knowledge of at least 2 domains: CE/FCC, EMC/RF, ISO safety, battery certification, cybersecurity compliance.
• Strong in English communication skill.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO 13482, IEC 61508, hazard analysis, AI/ML compliance.
• Knowledge of ETSI EN 303 645 or ISO 27001.
• Familiarity with robotics hardware, PCB design, embedded systems.
• Experience in companies exporting certified hardware

• Detail-oriented, structured, organized.
• Strong communicator across engineering, QA, legal, and external labs.
• Able to manage multiple certification workflows.
• Passionate about safety, compliance, and robotics.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Certification Strategy & Planning

• Define certification roadmap for Vietnam, US, EU, and APAC markets.
• Identify required compliance standards: ISO 13482, IEC 61508, EMC (EN 61000), CISPR 32, CE RED, FCC Part 15, MIC Japan, IEC 62133, UN38.3, ISO/IEC 5338, ETSI EN 303 645.
• Align certification timelines with product development milestones.

Documentation & Technical File Preparation

• Prepare and maintain the Technical Construction File (TCF).
• Create risk assessment (FMEA/Hazard analysis), Safety Case documentation, schematics, mechanical drawings, software architecture, logs, and test reports.

Test Lab Coordination

• Work with TUV, SGS, UL, Intertek, Quatest.
• Submit samples and documentation for certification.
• Manage corrective actions required by certification authorities.

Risk & Compliance Validation

• Perform internal audits for safety, EMC, wireless, and cybersecurity.
• Validate mechanical, electrical, functional safety, and privacy compliance.

Regulatory Monitoring

• Track updates to global robotics, AI, and safety standards.
• Advise engineering teams on compliance risks early in development.
