Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Shipment Operations Management:

Review and verify pre-screening files shared by requestors and respond timely
Collaborate with the Client's Trade Compliance Team to ensure correct HS codes are applied
Process permanent and temporary import shipments, including demonstration equipment
Review all shipment documents including invoices, customs forms, AWB, and other required documentation
Confirm import authorization and track shipments through to final delivery
Coordinate re-export procedures for temporary import items
Resolve documentation or classification issues proactively

Reporting and Documentation:

Trade Compliance and Coordination:

Work closely with the Client's Classification Team to verify and apply correct HTS codes
Ensure all customs declarations comply with Vietnamese import/export regulations
Coordinate with customs authorities and freight forwarders
Support customs audits and regulatory inquiries

Required Qualifications

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

Comprehensive knowledge of Vietnam import and export customs requirements, regulations, and processes
Strong understanding of HS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) code classification for technical instruments and electronic equipment
Experience with customs systems (VNACCS/ECUS5)
Proficiency in trade documentation
Familiarity with temporary import/re-export procedures

Able to communicate effectively with Trade Compliance teams on HS code classification
Meticulous attention to accuracy in documentation and compliance
Proactive problem-solving approach

Experience and Education:

Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in import/export operations in Vietnam
Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders
Previous experience in technology, electronics, or scientific equipment sectors is highly advantageous
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required
