Responsibilities
- Performance Testing: Develop a performance test framework to assess application changes, simulating user actions using protocol like Telnet.
- Workflow Automation: Build one workflow and extend it to others, particularly for Soundex-based search applications. Ensure comprehensive search execution at appropriate levels.
- Data Storage & Optimization: Manage transactional data storage, allocate memory on disks, and retrieve data efficiently. Transition from file system-based storage (230 sections) to a PostgreSQL database system while ensuring performance validation.
- Mass Data Generation & System Restoration: Implement a mechanism to auto-create millions of records and ensure the system can be restored to a known state after stress testing.
- Participate in daily meetings with the client to discuss project progress, requirements, and issues.
- Utilize Linux command line tools for development and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ experience in C or C++, with a solid understanding of memory management, structs, and pointers.
- Good knowledge of databases
- Familiarity with Linux command line operations.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex code structures and align them with business requirements.
- Good English communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
