ABOUT THIS ROLE
Language Link Vietnam is seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Business Unit Director to lead and grow key business lines within our education ecosystem.
Reporting directly to the Board of Management, this role will take full ownership of business performance, including growth strategy, operations, financial results, and market expansion. The successful candidate will act as a strategic business leader, driving sustainable growth while ensuring operational excellence across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Business Leadership & Growth
- Own and drive revenue, profitability, and overall business performance of assigned business units.
- Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, products, and market expansion initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to shape business decisions.
2. Operations & Performance Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Service Delivery functions.
- Ensure operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and optimize resource allocation for maximum ROI.
- Establish and monitor key business KPIs, ensuring consistent performance against targets.
3. Financial & Strategic Management
- Manage business budgets, P&L, and profitability performance.
- Analyze business data and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Regularly review business performance and recommend strategic improvements.
- Partner closely with the Board of Management on long-term business planning and execution.
4. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing cross-functional teams.
- Foster a performance-driven, customer-centric, and growth-oriented culture.
- Build organizational capability to support future business expansion.
WORKING CONDITION
- Location: Hoang Dao Thuy, Hanoi (full-time onsite)
- Time: Mondays to Fridays
WHAT WE EXPECT
- 8+ years of experience in business management, operations, commercial leadership, or general management roles.
- Proven track record of owning and growing a business, business unit, or multi-site operation.
- Strong experience managing P&L and driving revenue growth.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience.
- Background in Education, Training, Services, EdTech is highly preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven decision-making capability.
- Strong financial and business analysis skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach.
- Fluent English communication skills.
