Overview Of The Role
The Business MIS & Expense Management Manager will support the Business MIS, Reporting & Expense Management Lead in managing business data, reporting processes, and expense monitoring activities. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in data analytics, business performance reporting, and financial governance.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, support report automation, and contribute to expense tracking and budgeting processes.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting & Data Management Support
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating reports and dashboards related to business KPIs, financial performance, and operational metrics.
- Support the preparation of recurring and ad‑hoc reports for business stakeholders.
- Help automate and streamline reporting workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform basic data cleaning, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data integrity.
Business Analysis Support
- Work with product managers and other business teams to understand data needs and gather reporting requirements.
- Support the Lead in conducting preliminary data analysis and summarizing insights for business decision-making.
- Prepare simple visualizations and summaries to support presentations or reviews.
Expense Management Support
- Assist in monitoring business expenses to ensure alignment with budgets and forecasts.
- Help track actual spend versus budget and highlight unusual or significant variances.
- Maintain expense tracking tools or files, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Support compliance checks to ensure adherence to internal expense policies.
Planning & Forecasting Support
- Support the Finance and Business teams during annual planning and reforecasting cycles.
- Assist the Lead in preparing expense projections, simple scenario analyses, and supporting templates.
- Coordinate data collection from various stakeholders as required
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, MIS, or related fields.
- Very good in Analysis, Automation and Data Organizing of Excel/Google Sheets (knowledge of pivot tables, Power Query, VBA, Macro, formulas preferred).
- Basic understanding of financial concepts such as budgeting and variance analysis is a plus.
- Willingness to learn new systems and analytical tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy excellent.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with proper time management.
- Team-player mindset with a positive, collaborative working style.
- Strong storytelling capability with well-structured narratives, combined with advanced MS PowerPoint skills to deliver clear, engaging, and impactful presentations.
