Job Description

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for supporting business growth in assigned territories by identifying market development opportunities, engaging with customers and end-users, tracking project pipelines, following up on opportunities together with dealers, and collecting market intelligence. This position focuses on field execution, daily communication with dealers to provide timely support or report to relevant internal stakeholders for necessary support, joint customer visits, and coordination with internal teams to support opportunity progression and project success.

Your Mission

Market Development, Business Initiatives Enablement & Opportunity Coordination

  • Identify potential market development opportunities in assigned territories and accounts where closer engagement may support business growth.
  • Follow up on business opportunities with customers to understand their needs, while coordinating with dealers, the Business Development Lead, and internal teams for required support.
  • Develop an understanding of local trading suppliers, procurement practices, and purchasing processes to support market development and Dealers coordination.
  • Report business opportunities, partner alignment topics, and potential channel sensitivities to the BDL and SMM, together with initial proposed solutions.

Pipeline Tracking & Dealer Communication

  • Maintain daily communication with dealers sales teams to track active opportunities, project progress, customer feedback, and expected next steps.
  • Update pipeline information accurately and escalate key risks, delays, or support needs to the Business Development Lead & SMM in a timely manner.
  • Support dealers in following up opportunities and coordinating customer visits, product discussions, demonstrations, and quotation-related information where required.
  • Cross-check pipeline information and ensure opportunities in SFDC are updated accordingly.

OR1 Projects & Annual Focused Products Follow-up

  • Support the follow-up of OR1 projects together with the Business Development Lead and VAS Manager, starting from the early phase of each project.
  • Work closely with dealers to monitor OR1 project progress, update key milestones, and report any support required from dealers or internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to follow up on annual focused product development, dealer execution plans, and related field activities.
  • Track the progress of focused product execution plans with dealers and provide timely updates to the Business Development Lead, SMM, and relevant internal stakeholders.

Field Visit & Customer Engagement

  • Conduct joint field visits with dealers to engage with hospitals, end-users, key decision-makers, and key influencers.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and end-users to understand their requirements, purchasing behaviours, and product adoption barriers.
  • Collect customer feedback and communicate relevant insights to the Business Development Lead, Product team, Marketing team, and other internal stakeholders.

SFDC/CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in SFDC, including pipeline, opportunities, and account information.
  • Ensure timely updates and data completeness to support reporting and forecast accuracy.

Market Intelligence & Competitor Tracking

  • Gather market data by engaging with end-users, including customer habits, treatment trends, purchasing preferences, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Monitor competitor movements, pricing practices, product positioning, promotional activities, and customer feedback in assigned territories.
  • Support regular market intelligence updates and contribute information to the installed base database and territory development plans.

Internal Coordination & Sales Support

  • Coordinate with Product, Marketing, Service, RA/QA, Finance, and other internal teams to support customer requirements and opportunity progression.
  • Provide timely field information to help internal teams prepare appropriate product, technical, service, regulatory, or commercial support.
  • Perform other business development, partner support, and field coordination tasks as assigned by the Business Development Lead or management.

Your Talents

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Additional training in medical devices, healthcare business development, partner coordination, or customer relationship management will be an advantage.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in business development, capital sales, customer engagement, partner coordination, or customer-facing roles within the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
  • Experience in field coordination, dealer communication, hospital account follow-up, or project pipeline tracking is preferred.
  • Experience in engaging with doctors, nurses, procurement teams, hospital departments, or end-users is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce (SFDC) and basic pipeline reporting is a plus.
