Reporting to: Head of Sales, APAC
Our client, a leading multinational medical device company, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth and expand market presence in Vietnam.
This is an individual contributor role with a strong focus on developing sales strategies, managing distributor partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sustainable revenue growth. The successful candidate will work closely with regional stakeholders across APAC while serving as the key commercial representative in the local market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the business strategy to achieve sales and growth targets in Vietnam.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with local distributors, ensuring strong commercial performance and alignment with company objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new distributors or channel partners where appropriate.
- Monitor distributor performance through regular business reviews, sales forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI tracking.
- Collaborate with distributors to develop sales plans, marketing activities, product launches, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), hospitals, healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and regulatory developments to identify business opportunities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Regional Commercial teams.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, business reports, and market insights for APAC management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of sales or business development experience in the medical device industry, with a proven track record of driving commercial growth.
- Strong experience managing distributors and indirect sales channels in Vietnam.
- Good understanding of the Vietnamese healthcare market, hospital procurement process, and medical device distribution landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic business plans and execute growth initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a regional, multicultural environment.
- Fluent English communication skills (both written and spoken) are essential, as the role requires frequent interaction with regional and global teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically as required.
