Koru Capital is a Vietnam-focused boutique M&A advisory firm specializing in mid-market transactions. The firm provides tailored advisory services to businesses and investors seeking opportunities in Vietnam's dynamic and growing economy.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager (Advisory) role based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new advisory opportunities, build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, investors, and partners . Typical responsibilities include:

  • Pipeline Generation & Deal Sourcing: Proactively identify, target, and pitch Koru's advisory services to corporate clients, business owners, and founders across Vietnam seeking corporate restructuring, capital raising, or M&A support.
  • Relationship & Network Building: Build, nurture, and leverage a strong network of key decision-makers, corporate executives, PE/VC funds, legal advisors, and industry leaders to generate high-quality deal leads.
  • Proposal & Pitch Preparation: Lead the creation of pitch decks, service proposals, and advisory mandates tailored to client needs, clearly articulating Koru's value proposition.
  • Negotiation & Mandate Closing: Drive the sales process from initial contact to commercial negotiation, fee structure agreements, and engagement contract execution.
  • Client & Market Intelligence: Continuously track industry trends, M&A activity, and capital markets in Vietnam to identify emerging advisory opportunities and refine Koru's go-to-market strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Advisory Execution Team to ensure a smooth transition from signed mandate to project delivery, aligning client expectations from day one.

Qualifications

  • Strong business development and relationship management skills, including client outreach, networking, and maintaining long-term partnerships.
  • Experience in financial or strategic advisory, M&A, investment banking, consulting, or related fields, with a solid understanding of transaction processes.
  • Proficiency in market and company research, data analysis, and preparation of concise reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear business writing, presentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information and sensitive client matters.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple opportunities at once, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
