JOB DESCRIPTION- Analyze business requirements and translate them intodata requirements and data modelsacross the data warehouse lifecycle.
- Work with data fromsource systems through staging (RAW/STG), data model layers, and Data Marts, aligned with departmental reporting and analytics needs.
- Design and definedatabase tables (DDL), data structures, and relationships to support reporting and analytics use cases.
- Performdata analysis using advanced SQLto validate business logic, ensure data accuracy, and support decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, stakeholders, and business users to clarify requirements and ensure correct data implementation.
- Participate in data mapping, data modeling, and integration activities across systems.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve data-related and business logic issues throughout the data pipeline.
- Prepare and maintainbusiness and system documentationsuch as BRD, SRS, and data specifications.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new data domains, systems, and business processes within Banking projects.
REQUIREMENTSCore Skills (Must-have)- 25 years of experienceas aData Business Analyst / Data Analyst / Software BAworking with data platforms.
- Very strong SQL skills, including:
- Query optimization (indexes, partitions, CTEs)
- Understanding ofphysical data storage formats(row-based vs. column-based).
- Solid experience working withData Warehouse concepts, including:
- CDC (Change Data Capture)
- SCD (especially Type 2; Type 4 is a plus)
- Star and Snowflake schemas
- Hands-on experience working acrossmultiple data layers:
- Source / RAW / STG
- Data Model layers
- Data Mart (based on business or department requirements).
- Ability todesign data tables and schemas(DDL) with a clear, logical structure.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills for data and business scenarios.
- Experience analyzing business problems and configuring data solutions to meet business needs.
- Ability to troubleshoot data issues and resolve business-related data inconsistencies.
- Good documentation skills: capable of writingBRD, SRS, and data-related specifications.
Nice to Have- Knowledge or experience withSystem of Record (SOR) modeling.
- Experience inBanking / Financial Servicesprojects.
- Exposure to integration projects involving data mapping and data modeling.
- Deeper understanding of banking and financial business processes is a plus.
- English: Not required (English proficiency is a plus).
