Job Description

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Power Apps Developer designs, develops, and optimizes low-code/no-code solutions on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to streamline business processes across multiple departments. This role creates responsive, user-centric applications to solve business problems and enhance operations for internal and external stakeholders. The developer leverages Power Apps, Power Query, and Power Automate to create innovative solutions that enhance data accessibility, automate workflows, and improve organizational efficiency. The developer collaborates with Quality analysts, IT teams, and end-users to gather requirements, deliver scalable solutions, and provide ongoing technical support. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to best practices in application development are essential.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Include but not limited to

  • Design and develop Power Apps applications for internal business processes and external customer-facing solutions, ensuring optimal user experience and system performance.
  • Build and optimize Power Queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, cloud services) to support reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Create and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate to eliminate manual processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency across departments.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI integrated with Power Apps solutions to provide real-time visibility into key business metrics.
  • Conduct requirements gathering and analysis with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Implement data security, validation rules, and access controls to ensure applications comply with organizational policies and industry regulations.
  • Provide technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support end-users and facilitate system adoption.
  • Monitor application performance, maintain version control, and implement updates or enhancements based on user feedback and changing business requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new Power Platform features and recommending solutions to enhance operational capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as required/assigned by the manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Minimum Relevant Experience: 3-5 years in application development, business systems, or related technical field
  • Minimum Academic Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Query, and Power Automate
  • Strong proficiency with Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365) and cloud-based application architecture
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages (Python, C#, JavaScript) is a plus
  • Good communication skills: diplomatic, open, good listener, direct, succinct
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent English Writing Skills & Oral Skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal office environment. Minimal travel required
