Business Analyst, Lighthouse
Engagement Type: Fixed-Term Contract
Role Summary
The Business Analyst owns requirements and business definitions for the operations data warehouse (Ops DW) and serves as the bridge between operations stakeholders and the technical team. The role is accountable for capturing business rules as the data contract and for validating that delivered data meets business expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements and Analysis
- Gather and document reporting and data requirements from operations stakeholders across markets.
- Build and maintain the data dictionary and source-to-target mapping.
- Capture metric definitions and reconciliation rules as the business data contract.
- Translate business definitions, including order status, metrics, currency, and timezone, into clear specifications for the engineer.
Quality and Validation
- Define and run UAT against business expectations, and track defects through to closure.
Stakeholder Liaison
- Serve as the day-to-day bridge between operations stakeholders and the technical team.
- Keep stakeholders informed of requirement decisions and changes.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a business analyst on data, BI, or data warehouse projects.
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Sound analytical foundation, with comfort handling data and reconciliation.
Skills and Competencies
- Clear requirements and mapping documentation.
- Strong data literacy.
- Organised communicator, able to bridge business and technical language.
