Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Business Analyst at JurneeGo. The Business Analyst will collaborate with product, engineering, education, and customer-facing teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. Daily responsibilities include gathering and documenting business requirements, analyzing current and future-state business processes, and identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency. The person in this role will create user stories, use cases, and workflow diagrams, and support the prioritization of features and enhancements. The Business Analyst will also assist with data-driven decision-making by performing basic quantitative and qualitative analysis, preparing reports and dashboards, and communicating insights to stakeholders in a clear, structured manner. Additionally, this role will support testing and validation of new features to ensure they align with requirements and deliver value to children, parents, and schools.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make evidence-based recommendations.
- Business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, and documentation of functional and non-functional needs.
- Knowledge of business processes, process mapping, and process improvement methodologies within product or technology environments.
- Ability to define, document, and manage business requirements throughout the product lifecycle, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear written documentation, structured presentations, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience working remotely and independently, managing priorities, deadlines, and communication across distributed teams.
- Familiarity with EdTech, SaaS products, or AI/ML-based solutions is a plus.
- Proficiency with business and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA or similar issue trackers, Confluence or similar documentation tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Education, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with basic data analysis and visualization (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools) is beneficial.
