Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bridge the communication gap between Japanese clients and the development team (Dev/QA/PM).
  • Gather, analyze, and clarify business requirements from clients.
  • Draft technical documentation, including:

-Requirement Definition (要件定義)

-Basic Design (基本設計)

-User Stories / Use Cases

  • Communicate and coordinate requirements in Japanese via meetings, chat, and email.
  • Support the development team to ensure a precise understanding of business logic and requirements.
  • Participate in product reviews to ensure outputs align with client expectations.
  • Propose process or product improvements based on business insights.

Requirements:

Language Skills

  • Japanese proficiency equivalent to N2 or higher (candidates who have studied or worked in Japan are highly preferred).
  • Strong professional communication skills:
  • Capable of working directly with Japanese clients.
  • Able to write clear emails and documentation.

Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience as a BA or BrSE, with a strong, hands-on background in Business Analysis (mandatory).
  • Proven experience working directly with Japanese clients.
  • Strong logical thinking:
  • Ability to analyze requirements (As-is / To-be).
  • Solid understanding of business flows and data flows.
  • Ability to:
  • Ask targeted, high-impact questions.
  • Clarify ambiguous requirements.
  • Experience in writing documentation (specifications, designs, user stories).

Nice to Have

  • An IT background (Dev/QA/PM).
  • Basic understanding of system design.
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Domain experience in: Fintech, SaaS, E-commerce, or HR systems.
  • Experience working onsite in Japan or long-term direct collaboration with Japanese clients.

  • Logical thinking: * Ability to break down complex problems.
  • Refusal to accept ambiguous requirements.
  • High ownership: Track tasks diligently through to completion.

KPIs / Performance Evaluation

  • Requirement clarity rate (minimizing rework from the Dev team).
  • Satisfaction levels of Japanese clients.
  • Reduction of issues caused by misunderstandings.
  • Speed of requirement processing and clarification.
