- Drive all Body & Closure Engineering work on future model programs to meet VINFAST Engineering Requirements and product development timing
- Support established organizational objectives by developing goals and strategies for the department
- Establish and maintain the Body organization efficiency at each levels (dismiss and hire new staff)
- Find and implement ways to improve cost-efficiency
- Provide technical guidance to top management for strategic decisions
- Coach/train and develop the team to transition to being a full capable engineering team
- Inspire and lead the team using VINFAST DNA behaviors
- Report to top management present budgets and plans
- Implement best practice engineering methods
- Oversee day-to-day business activities
- Conduct performance reviews
Requirements
- 15+ years experience in automotive or related industries
- Experience on directing a team or department
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering)
- Demonstrated agility in operating within matrix organizations and teams
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Highly organized
- Effective communicator and able to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams from different areas of the company and with the key supplier
- Motivational skills
- In-depth knowledge in Body & Closure engineering
- Highly motivated, self-starter, and active learner with strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in multi-national relationships
- Demonstrate a high degree of resilience and ability to deal with high pressure situations using a logical data driven approach
- Be accountable for delivery and demonstrate strong organizational skills
