Role and Responsibilities

- Maintain and operate commercial analysis pipelines; upgrade pipelines in accordance with guideline recommendations

- Troubleshoot and support other teams to resolve issues and ensure data quality and quality control standards

- Execute analysis pipelines on large-scale datasets with high reproducibility and reliability

- Contribute to the development and improvement of variant interpretation methods for inherited diseases

- Summarize and present analysis results in appropriate formats for colleagues and collaborators

- Contribute to team discussions, support broader research goals, and potentially contribute to scientific publications

Desired skills and Qualifications

Must have

  • Basic knowledge of molecular biology or human genetics
  • Familiarity with workflow management systems such as Nextflow or Snakemake
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and effectively resolve technical issues

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Familiarity with short-read sequencing data from NGS platforms
  • Experience with containerized pipeline and environment development (e.g., Docker, Singularity)
  • Basic proficiency in R or Python for data analysis and visualization

Education minimum requirement

  • Bachelor's in Biological Science such as molecular biology, genomic, Bioinformatic, Health Science, relevant field or
  • Minimum 2 year of work experience in equivalent field
