ROLE
Leads the BIM team in delivering high-quality BIM models and documentation across multiple projects. Responsible for team management, technical oversight, quality assurance, and BIM standards implementation within the engineering department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Team Leadership & Management (25%) - Team Leadership
- Lead, manage, and develop the BIM team including Lead BIM Engineers, Senior BIM Engineers, and BIM Modelers.
- Assign project tasks and monitor workload distribution across the team.
- Review and approve team performance data; conduct performance evaluations and report to management.
- Manage leave approvals and monitor team attendance; report violations to HR.
- Support recruitment and induction of new BIM team members.
2. BIM Project Oversight (40%) - Project Coordination & Delivery
- Oversee BIM deliverables across all active projects to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM processes and attend key project coordination meetings.
- Review and approve BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Manage model sharing, versioning, and data management in CDE platforms.
- Escalate critical project risks or technical issues to the Design Manager promptly.
3. Quality & Standards (20%) - QA/QC & Standards Implementation
- Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, templates, and workflows for the organization.
- Conduct regular audits of BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and client standards.
- Enforce QA/QC procedures across all BIM deliverables.
- Stay updated with industry standards including ISO 19650 and apply best practices within the team.
4. Training & Development (15%)
Team Development
- Design and deliver internal BIM training sessions to uplift team capabilities.
- Mentor Lead BIM Engineers and support them in resolving complex technical challenges.
- Identify training needs and coordinate with the R&D & Training Manager for structured learning plans.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM engineering.
- 1–2 years of experience in a team leadership or coordination role.
- Expert proficiency in Revit, Allplan, or Civil 3D.
- Experience with CDE platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Dalux) and clash detection tools.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and BIM execution planning.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
