Position Summary BI Developer

The organization is seeking an experienced Tech Lead & Visualization Specialist to guide the technical execution of the project and deliver high-quality analytical dashboards and visual insights. The incumbent will lead solution design, oversee integration with the AWS data engineering components, and ensure seamless delivery across data ingestion, transformation, and visualization layers. The role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on expertise in Power BI, and the ability to translate business needs into intuitive and scalable visual solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide technical leadership across the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment between business requirements, data architecture, and visualization deliverables.

* Collaborate closely with the AWS Data Engineer to define data consumption models, API endpoints, and optimized structures for analytics.

* Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations exclusively using Power BI.

* Perform requirements gathering with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, visual design specifications, and data usability standards.

* Lead the creation of logical and semantic data models to support effective reporting and self-service analytics.

* Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data used for dashboards and reporting.

* Conduct data exploration, validation, profiling, and transformation in collaboration with data engineering teams.

* Oversee technical documentation, visualization standards, and dashboard performance optimization.

* Drive best practices for visualization, user experience, data storytelling, and data governance.

* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, plan releases, and ensure timely delivery of analytical outputs.

Required Qualifications

* Proven experience working as a Tech Lead, BI Lead, or Senior Visualization Specialist in data & analytics projects.

* Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, Power Query, and report optimization.

* Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, ETL/ELT workflows, and cloud-based data architectures.

* Ability to collaborate effectively with AWS-based data processing environments, including RDS, S3, and Lambda outputs.

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.

* Demonstrated experience in delivering end-to-end dashboards and visual stories for diverse business functions.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with AWS analytics services such as Athena, Glue Data Catalog, or Redshift.

* Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and project management tools.

* Knowledge of UX principles for data visualization and advanced analytics integration.

* Relevant certifications in Power BI or cloud ecosystems (e.g., Power BI Data Analyst, AWS Data Analytics, AWS Solutions Architect).
