We are looking for a Backend Engineer (Infrastructure/Platform) to build scalable backend systems that power our streaming platform. You will design and implement core services such as CDN optimization, experimentation platform, omnichannel engagement, and video transcoding infrastructure enabling faster innovation, cost efficiency, and better user experience.
1. CDN Optimization & Routing
- Build dynamic routing services across in-house & third-party CDNs (BytePlus, Gcore, etc.) based on real-time conditions (ISP, bandwidth, cost, QoS).
- Implement feedback loops using QoE metrics for automatic CDN selection.
2. Experimentation & Config Platform
- Develop APIs/services for real-time A/B testing, feature flagging, and config-based behavior without redeployments.
- Collaborate with data engineers to design pipelines and stores for variant analysis.
3. Engagement Platform
- Design backend systems for omnichannel messaging (push, in-app, email) using real-time user segmentation.
- Integrate with messaging providers and build routing/logging systems for reliability.
4. Transcoding System Integration
- Build control panels for configuring backend services, transcoding profiles, and routing rules.
- Ensure role-based access, audit logging, and fail-safe designs.
5. Core Engineering Practices
- Design clean APIs, asynchronous workers, and scalable microservices with observability (metrics/logs/traces).
- Write automated tests (unit/integration/load), CI pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code when required.
REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelors degree or higher in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in platform, infrastructure, or media-heavy domains.
- Languages: Golang, Python, Node.js
- Frameworks: gRPC, REST, FastAPI, Express
- Infra: Kubernetes, Docker, Redis, Kafka, Postgres, MongoDB
- Cloud/CDN: GCP, BytePlus, Gcore, Cloudflare, in-house CDN
- Tooling: GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Airflow
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture.
- Experience with real-time data processing and dynamic API-driven systems.
- Familiarity with CDN technologies, transcoding pipelines, or experimentation platforms is a plus.
- Collaborative mindset, comfortable working with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
BENEFITS:
- Insurance: Full salary (Gross).
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break).
- Leave: 14 annual leave days per year.
- Equipment: Company-provided laptop/PC/Mac.
- Onsite parking available.
- Year-end PMP bonus (based on company performance & individual KPI).
- Annual health check-up.
- Employee programs, internal activities, and team events.
