Job Summary
We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer experienced in Java and Python to design, develop, and migrate backend systems in scalable production environments.
The role involves working closely with international cross-functional teams to modernize existing systems, support platform migration initiatives, and build reliable backend services that meet global engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
- Participate in modernization projects and programming language migration.
- Analyze existing systems and propose technical improvements for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Develop APIs and backend components supporting web and distributed applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, DevOps teams, and international stakeholders.
- Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across global teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 23+ years of backend software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with: Java & Python
- Proven experience in language migration or transformation projects
- Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed backend systems.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Professional English communication skills.
- Experience working with international or cross-regional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
