What You'll Do

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an AWS DevOps Engineer at VidCruiter, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications and services.
Main Responsibilities
- AWS Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Deploy, configure, and manage AWS services, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and VPCs.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost efficiency of AWS resources.
- Continuous Integration and Deployment:
- Establish and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using industry best practices.
- Collaborate with software development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of application updates and releases.
- Implement and manage version control systems, build tools, and deployment automation scripts.
- System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Develop and implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve system issues.
- Monitor system logs, metrics, and performance indicators to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to infrastructure, networking, and application performance.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain robust security practices to protect the confidentiality and integrity of customer data.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, implementing necessary controls and remediation measures.
- Stay up-to-date with AWS security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan and implement infrastructure changes.
- Document system architecture, processes, and procedures, ensuring accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong experience working as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch
- Proficient in scripting and automation using tools such as Bash, Python, and Ansible.
- Demonstrated experience with Linux System Administration
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
