Position Summary - AWS developer
The organization is seeking a qualified AWS Data Engineer responsible for the development, implementation, and management of cloud-based data processing solutions. The incumbent will design and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Lambda, manage Amazon RDS PostgreSQL databases, oversee S3 storage environments, and perform data preparation and analysis activities. This role requires strong proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of data engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain ETL pipelines utilizing AWS Lambda and associated AWS services.
• Administer, monitor, and optimize Amazon RDS PostgreSQL databases, including schema management, performance tuning, and backup procedures.
• Manage Amazon S3 buckets, including configuration, data organization, lifecycle management, and access control.
• Write, maintain, and optimize Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, loading, and automation tasks.
• Conduct data preparation, cleaning, validation, and basic analysis to support business and analytical requirements.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, data governance standards, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data integration initiatives and resolve data-related issues.
Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, RDS (PostgreSQL), S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation tasks.
• Strong understanding of ETL methodologies, data modeling concepts, and data pipeline development.
• Experience in administering and maintaining PostgreSQL databases.
• Ability to perform data preparation and analysis using structured and semi-structured data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with additional AWS data services such as AWS Glue, Step Functions, or Athena.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or AWS Data Analytics Specialty).
