Job Purpose
To assist Relationship Managers (RMs) in managing the client and servicing their daily banking requirements.
Key Accountabilities
The key role is to assist the Relationship Team to manage and grow client relationships. As an Assistant Relationship Manager, your key accountabilities include:
- Day-to-day client management: To provide full support to RMs on clients daily inquiries, transactions, utilizations, documentation.
- Business development: To maintain strong relationships with the clients and assist RMs in influencing clients to maximise limits utilization and cross sell
- Service level management To liaise with various departments within the bank to ensure resolution of customer requests and enquiries pertaining to transactions and/or documentation in a timely manner. To ensure timely response to clients to maintain good customer satisfaction.
- KYC management To obtain and ensure documentation from client is valid and complete and work with KYC team on any customer due-diligence requirements.
- Credit Management To assist in the monitoring of credit quality of the portfolio and the review of credit facilities to clients if required.
- Others To perform any other duties consistent with the role as assigned by management from time to time.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a regular calling programme with corporate clients
- Strong relationships with client to help broaden and deepen clients transactional flows with the Bank
- Knowledge of banking products and services offered by the Bank and relevant industry.
- Good understanding of the credit policies and regulations to help process credit reviews and loan documentation.
- Work as a team with colleagues from Product Groups such as Treasury, Cash and Trade teams as well as colleagues from DBS Singapore to meet our corporate clients needs.
Experience & Education
- At least 2 years experience in the Vietnam in finance and/or banking industry
- Knowledge of banking products and/or loan procedures is a plus
- Effective written/oral communications skills in English
- Effective written/oral communications skills in Chinese
- Ability to multi-task and handle demands according to urgencies and client expectations
- Ability to support RM in research financial topics and present accessible reports on that research to colleagues with differing areas of expertise.
- Ability to work in a team with team members from across geographies
- Graduate from FTU, Banking Academy, NEU or Finance Academy is a plus
