Job Purpose
- Responsible for the development of new business and expansion of existing business through FI, NBFI and Corporate deposit growth.
- Responsible for Account Management and FI related business promotion for assigned accounts including but not limited to Relationship Management, Account Profit/Profitability, Promotion of Bank Product, Credit Assessment Monitoring and Daily Operation.
- Responsible to oversee Cash Management and Trade Finance across all client segments, supporting regional expansion and FIG objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Institution Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationship with Bank and Non- Bank Financial Institutions in Vietnam and oversea. Build a franchise network across the region that performs against local and international banks.
- Develop FI initiatives and account plan for assigned accounts – including new names to promote cross selling opportunities based on the department goal.
- Working with Head Office to assess customers and industries risk as well as reviewing all credit applications for deals to ensure pricing, product offerings and the structuring of the deal is aligned to business strategy.
- Boost overall performance, efficiency, and profits through proactive marketing efforts.
- Provide tailored banking services to customers within the coverage area to meet the department's revenue goals.
- Achieve profit targets from the assigned portfolio (i.e. New Economy sector under FIG) and enhance account profitability through proactive marketing strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both within CIMB and externally.
- Collaborate with the Compliance and KYC Team to address compliance issues
- Partner with the Credit Analyst Team to resolve any credit issues related to deals.
- Work closely with the Head Office to understand customer needs and business dynamics, ensuring that the advice provided meets customer requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service while adhering to internal procedures and regulations.
- Develop a client-centric approach in the team to develop customised solutions.
Business Development and Revenue Growth
- Identify and pursue new Transaction Banking opportunities across Cash Management, Trade Finance, and Financial Institutions, in particular:
+ Cash Management Services: Manage and deliver cash management solutions, including liquidity management, payments, and receivables in various currencies.
+ Trade and Supply Chain Finance: Develop and implement strategies for trade finance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing associated risks.
+ Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored banking solutions.
+ Advisory Services: Offer advisory support for acquisition/divestiture deals, including due diligence, documentation, and funding strategies.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders and other business units to acquire new clients and expand wallet share to develop and deliver effective banking solutions.
- Drive growth in fee-based income and achieve Transaction Banking revenue targets
FI Product Management
- Implement plans for product development with full understanding of product functionality, marketplace trends, and the competitive landscape to provide awareness of trends to Sales & Distribution function.
- Understand the regulatory environment in the region and analyse impact to Treasury activities including existing and new products.
- Coordinates and supports the definition and execution of the products 1 - 3 year strategy including P&L projections, new product assessment, target segments/markets, product capabilities and ensure product strategy is clearly articulated with internal partners including local stakeholders and relevant regional stakeholders, also obtain sufficient approval from local and Group authorities.
- Provide solutions to complex transactions including understanding client needs and creating solutions to those needs based on the current product offering, also ensure those financial products to optimize cash flow and manage risk effectively.
- Facilitate transactions and revenue growth and manage associated financial processes (i.e. forecast, monthly reporting, etc.)
- Setup end-to-end process and provide daily oversight to Vostro/ NBFI/ Corporate account operations for new and existing customers.
- Serve as a centre of expertise for our partners and clients on the end to end delivery of the Vostro/ NBFI/ Corporate account product
- Engage with internal technology subject matter experts and researches product-related trends in order to provide an integrated and automated client experience.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensures compliance with local regulatory requirements and external auditors.
- Represents CIMB Bank to external constituents and stakeholders for FI related activities
- Conduct all activities ethically in accordance with Policies and Procedures approved by the Management and the State Bank of Vietnam regulations
Any other responsibilities / task as assigned by senior management from time to time.
Job Specification
Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics/Financial Engineering)
10+ years working experience in a bank, preferably with Transaction Banking, FI or Fintech/ Payment solutions experience
Technical/Functional skills
- Well verse with local financial institution regulation on liquidity, capital and settlement;
- Strong numerical and analytical skills and an ability to solve problems;
- Good planning, organizing and problem solving skills;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
