We are seeking an experienced Associate Technical Lead with strong expertise in Angular and Spring Boot to join a client-facing engineering team. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical leadership while designing, developing, and delivering scalable, high-performance full-stack applications that support business-critical systems.
This role combines software engineering, solution design, team guidance, and delivery ownership. You will work closely with clients, architects, product stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into reliable, secure, and cloud-ready technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of full-stack applications using Angular and Spring Boot.
- Lead solution design discussions and translate functional and non-functional requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Define and promote frontend and backend architecture standards, coding conventions, reusable patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Design responsive, modular, maintainable, and reusable UI components using modern Angular practices.
- Design and develop backend services, business logic, integrations, and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Ensure reliable and secure integration between frontend applications, backend services, databases, and external systems.
- Apply clean architecture, domain-driven design concepts, component-based design, modular patterns, and appropriate design patterns.
- Review technical designs and code to ensure maintainability, performance, security, testability, and scalability.
- Identify technical risks, architectural constraints, dependencies, and delivery challenges, and drive appropriate mitigation actions.
- Guide the team in troubleshooting complex production issues, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing sustainable fixes.
- Mentor software engineers and senior software engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, quality engineers, DevOps teams, architects, and client stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Participate in requirement clarification, effort estimation, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning.
- Support the team in breaking down complex requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks.
- Monitor implementation progress and help ensure that engineering deliverables meet agreed quality, scope, and timeline expectations.
- Contribute to CI/CD, cloud readiness, observability, application security, and operational support practices.
- Maintain technical documentation covering architecture decisions, APIs, integrations, deployment processes, and development standards.
- Act as a technical point of contact for assigned modules, workstreams, or client discussions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that provide measurable technical or business value.
What We Expect:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, including significant experience in full-stack application development.
- At least 1–2 years of experience leading technical workstreams, mentoring engineers, or providing technical direction within a delivery team.
- Strong proficiency in Angular, preferably Angular 19 or later, along with TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Angular architecture, reusable and shared component patterns, reactive programming, state management, routing, forms, performance optimization, and frontend testing.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and related Spring ecosystem technologies.
- Strong experience designing, implementing, documenting, and securing RESTful APIs and working with JSON.
- Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and practical experience with MySQL, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and transaction management.
- Good understanding of authentication, authorization, secure coding practices, API security, and common web application vulnerabilities.
- Experience applying object-oriented design principles, SOLID principles, clean code practices, design patterns, and automated testing.
- Conceptual and practical understanding of modern software architectures, including modular monoliths, microservices, event-driven systems, and distributed application patterns.
- Experience with Git, branching strategies, pull-request workflows, automated builds, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with containerization and deployment technologies such as Docker; Kubernetes exposure is advantageous.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and contributing to planning, estimation, delivery tracking, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to provide technical guidance while remaining actively involved in hands-on engineering.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make sound technical decisions in a client-driven environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice To Have:
- Domain knowledge of event ticketing platforms, reservation systems, e-commerce platforms, or other high-volume transactional systems.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar event-driven platforms.
- Experience with caching technologies such as Redis.
- Knowledge of API gateways, service discovery, centralized configuration, distributed tracing, and observability platforms.
- Experience with performance testing, application monitoring, logging, and production support.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native engineering practices.
- Experience participating in technical interviews, onboarding engineers, or supporting team capability development.
- Relevant certifications in Angular, Java, Spring, cloud platforms, or software architecture.
- Passion for staying current with developments in Angular, Spring Boot, Java, cloud engineering, and modern full-stack architecture.
