Job Description

General Summary

We are looking for an Associate Manager, Manufacturing to lead and control glove manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, stable and efficient production while achieving targets in quality, productivity, cost and delivery.

The role will play a key part in strengthening execution discipline on the shop floor, optimizing manufacturing resources and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Operations Management

  • Plan and manage daily, weekly and monthly production activities to achieve output targets.
  • Optimize 4M: Manpower, Machine, Material and Method.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, QA/QC and Supply Chain to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.

2. Quality & Process Control

  • Ensure products meet quality standards, specifications and customer requirements.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA.
  • Monitor and improve process stability, yield and product quality.

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and internal safety policies.
  • Build and maintain a strong safety culture across the manufacturing floor.
  • Support internal, customer and regulatory audits.

4. Continuous Improvement

  • Lead manufacturing improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen and 5S.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, yield, efficiency and cost.
  • Work with relevant functions to implement sustainable improvement solutions.

5. APS & Production Planning

  • Coordinate with the APS Leader to drive and deploy APS (Advanced Planning & Scheduling) for production.
  • Monitor production KPIs including OEE, yield, downtime, efficiency and manufacturing cost.
  • Participate in budgeting and cost-control activities.

6. People Management

  • Lead, coach and develop Supervisors and Operators.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify training and development needs.
  • Empower team members and delegate responsibilities effectively.

7. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with QA, Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, Supply Chain and HR.
  • Communicate production risks, performance and improvement plans to management.
  • Support the organization in achieving operational and business targets.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials, Statistics or other relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in Textile, Garment or Glove Manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as D365 or SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Strong coaching, communication and team motivation skills.
  • Customer-focused and results-oriented mindset.
  • Good empowerment and delegation skills.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, MS Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Good English communication skills.
