We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Job Purpose:
Provide comprehensive one stop shop of legal services to all business units and other internal clients in the country.
Your tasks:
- Advise and counsel functional or operational managers to ensure current or proposed business activities, policies, practices and transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations
- Prepare/review legal contracts, letters of agreement, and other documents related to trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters (for example loans, leases, purchase agreements, employment contracts) to protect organization's legal and business interests
- Conducting research, providing general business legal advice and more specialized advice relating to the Business Units businesses;
- Advising on country legal risk mitigation strategies;
- Contribute to the design and delivery of training courses on legal topics relevant to the business.
- Supporting the Senior Legal Counsel in implementing global and regional legal strategy at a country level in order to ensure effective use of common tools and consistent reporting;
- Supporting the Senior Legal Counsel and other corporate functions by delivering the legal service; component necessary in overall attainment of their goals;
- Supporting the Senior Legal Counsel in proactively advising country management on any development in the law and contribute and assist in the design and delivery of training courses on legal topics relevant to the DHL Business Units;
Your profile:
- Minimum 3-5 years of legal practice in commercial law firm or in house legal department
- Good law degree from a reputable local/foreign university
- Commercial pragmatism, ability to apply legal knowledge and expertise into business environment;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese and English);
- Good understanding of DHL's business activities;
- Independent and confident with strong analytical skills
- Ability to operate independently and confidently in a complex and challenging environment.
