Job Description
The role is primarily responsible for operational reviews, case investigations, risk monitoring, and reporting while also contributing to process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency enhancements.
Operations
- Perform daily AML screening activities, including sanctions, watchlist, PEP, adverse media, and other regulatory screening requirements.
- Review and investigate alerts generated from fraud monitoring and risk detection rules.
- Conduct customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and periodic review activities when required.
- Analyze suspicious account activities and gather supporting evidence for escalation and decision-making.
- Support account restriction, suspension, or remediation activities in accordance with internal procedures.
- Handle operational tickets, customer-related investigations, and internal escalations from various stakeholders.
- Maintain proper investigation records and ensure documentation completeness.
- Support audit, compliance review, and regulatory inquiry requests.
Process Improvement
- Identify operational gaps and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and risk coverage.
- Assist in data extraction, reconciliation, and analysis for risk monitoring purposes
- Participate in testing (UAT) and implementation of new risk controls, monitoring rules, and system enhancements
- Explore automation opportunities using spreadsheets, reporting tools, AI solutions, or internal systems to reduce manual workload
Requirements
Must have
- At least 1 year experience in a tech start-up (e-commerce, fintech, banking) in an operations or Fraud, KYC role
- Solution-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in communication skills in English and Vietnamese (verbal and written) to coordinate with internal stakeholders across the region
