Job Summary
This role is diverse in nature and includes leading the Equity team and serving as Lead Portfolio Manager, research, combining strategic oversight with hands-on research & portfolio management. The position focuses on delivering consistent, strong performance and effective risk management, communicating with stakeholders, and proactively suggesting areas for improvement. The role is also collaborating with stakeholders, include clients, across departments for equity investment activities performed well.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and manage the Equity team, and collaborate with line managers to ensure alignment with the funds investment objectives and process, aimed at delivering consistent, strong performance and effective risk management
- Act as Lead Portfolio Manager, research and oversee other equity portfolios/funds, research:
- Conducting and overseeing equity research;
- Analyzing and generating investment opportunities;
- Developing and implementing portfolio/fund strategies;
- Building & implement portfolio models;
- Monitoring and reviewing portfolio performance to ensure compliance with investment processes and strategies, maintaining style consistency, and managing risk properly.
- Work with the investment team members to contribute ideas, evaluate trends, and develop strategies across different portfolios.
- Manage equity activities to ensure to ensure align with fund objectives, investment process and enhance where needed.
- Prepare/ manage equity investment reports, materials as required.
- Collaborate with clients and other departments to ensure equity related activities performed well
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Investments, Company.
Qualifications And Experience
- University degree in finance/ economics/ commerce or equivalent.
- Have a fund management practitioner license issued by SSC.
- CFA certificate/ MBA degree is preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience working in the capital markets industry, including investment banking or equity investment management.
- Experience in research, portfolio management and strong track record of performance
- Able to work effectively under market pressure and adapt to a dynamic market environment
- Good interaction skills in a team working environment.
- Experience in managing and supervising an investment team.
- Ability to present plans, actions and carry out studies in finance and meta-analysis.
