Associate Data Scientist (Contractor)

About the Role

This is an entry-level data science role with real business exposure, not just a modeling or reporting position.

You will work on real use cases across Commercial, Marketing, and Supporting Functions, helping turn data into clear insights and practical actions. You will learn how to apply data science in a business environment and see how your work contributes to measurable outcomes.

You will collaborate closely with experienced Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders. From understanding the problem to building models and supporting deployment, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of data science solutions.

What You Will Do:

• Support E2E data science use cases: Work with senior team members to translate business questions into analytical problems and contribute to building solutions.
• Build and improve ML models: Develop models for forecasting, segmentation, and basic prediction tasks. Focus on writing clean code and improving model performance over time. Help test, deploy, and monitor models in production.
• Prepare and explore data: Work with large datasets using SQL, Python, or PySpark. Clean, transform, and explore data to generate insights.
• Maintain existing models: Assist in tracking model performance, fixing issues, and updating documentation to keep solutions reliable.
• Learn and grow continuously: Build your skills in machine learning, data engineering basics, and business understanding through real projects.
• Work with Data Engineers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and share insights clearly.

Experience & Profiles:

• 2+ years in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Advanced Analytics
• Basic understanding of machine learning and statistics
• Familiarity with Python (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn)
• Basic SQL skills for working with data
• Exposure to PySpark or large-scale data processing is a plus
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) or similar environments
