Purpose of the Role: As a Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible to undertake full-process management of Vietnam new core projects, covering planning, scope, changes, risks, issues, costs, manpower, administration, and daily integrated management modules, aligning with best practices for PMO in large integrated projects of overseas banks:
Job Duties:-
- Project plan management: Prepare overall project plans, phase iteration and milestone plans; break down and deliver tasks; follow up on project progress and node reviews - weekly/monthly progress reports;
- Scope & Change Management: Controls project requirement boundaries and business scope, implements project change approval processes, requirements and ledger management to avoid scope escalation, coordinates requirements review and changes in a closed loop;
- Risk & Problem Management: Build project risk ledgers to identify business, technical, cross-cultural, local compliance, and delivery risks; Follow up on project defects and bottleneck issues in a closed loop, and develop risk response plans;
- Cost & Human Resource Management: Manage project budgeting, outsourced/on-site costs, coordinate on-site team scheduling, resource scheduling, attendance, and performance coordination for the Hanoi on-site team;
- Comprehensive administration & local management: Responsible for the Hanoi on-site team office administration, local logistics, cross-departmental collaboration and meetings, document archiving, and project asset control;
- Process implementation: Implementing standardized PMO processes and project templates, accumulating best practices in Vietnam Bank project delivery to support subsequent project re-use locally.
Qualification:-
- At least 3 years of full-time experience as a fintech/banking core project PMO; experience in large-scale new core projects in Southeast Asia and Vietnam is preferred;
- Proficient in the six core control modules of project planning, scope, change, risk, cost, and manpower; familiar with waterfall + agile hybrid project management models; proficient in using Project, Jira, Excel advanced functions, and project reporting tools;
- Experience in handling client-side connections, with expertise in financial project compliance control and cross-border project collaboration logic;
- Strong overall coordination skills, experience in administration + project management, skilled in cross-team and cross-cultural communication, emotionally stable and highly stress-resistant;
- Meet general requirements for all staff, fluent Chinese preferred, and those familiar with Vietnamese workplace and bank-enterprise etiquette are preferred.
