Koru Capital is an investment & advisory firm based in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. We operate under 2 different business sectors: (1) Advisory Service and (2) Direct Investment.
- Advisory Service: We work closely with our clients on strategic fund raising solutions and corporate restructuring exercises.
- Investment: We invest in founders of SMEs in Vietnam who have built strong, proven products but lack the financial and management skills to scale. We look for those with certain weaknesses where our expertise can add real values and help the business reach the next level.
As a Assistant Manager/Senior Associate, you will:
Work across both Advisory Service and Investment with a balanced allocation of time, depending on the candidate's strengths and experience.
Advisory Service
- Take meaningful client-facing works.
- Lead and guide a team of junior analysts in the entire fund raising and M&A process (due-diligence and marketing material preparation, term sheet negotiation, deal structure, legal docs preparation, closing).
- Participate in business development (to prepare yourself for the next level of leadership).
Investment
- Support the Director in sourcing qualified investment opportunities.
- Conduct investment assessments to define the investment thesis and shape negotiation strategies with founders.
- Execute the investment process, from initial evaluation to closing.
- Provide ad-hoc post-investment support to portfolio companies.
What do we expect from you
- Deal experience is a must.
- At least 5 years of experience in FMCG/Retail/Industrial or Ecommerce/Fintech Management Accounting or Financial Planning & Analysis, Big4 Audit, Deal/M&A Advisory or Private Equity
- Hardcore analytical and modelling skills (Excel, VBA, Power BI, etc.)
- Hardcore qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, with a data and fact-driven mindset
- Result-oriented and strong ownership of your work
- Perform well under high pressure and tight deadline environment
- Able to guide other junior team members
