JOB SUMMARY

The Legal Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing all legal matters of the company, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to financial services, payments, data protection, and corporate governance. The role works closely with business and compliance teams to support growth while managing legal risks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Regulatory & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with fintech-related regulations (payments, lending, AML/KYC, consumer protection).

- Liaise with regulators, authorities, and external legal advisors.

- Monitor regulatory changes and advise management.

- Support licensing applications and renewals.

2. Contract Management

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including merchant, partner, vendor, NDA, SLA, and technology agreements.

- Maintain standard contract templates and contract records.

3. Corporate & Governance

- Handle corporate legal matters, board resolutions, and shareholder documentation.

- Support corporate governance and internal policies.

- Assist in M&A, investment, and fundraising transactions when required.

4. Risk Management & Dispute Handling

- Identify legal risks and propose mitigation measures.

- Handle disputes, complaints, and claims.

- Coordinate with external counsel.

5. Data Protection & Intellectual Property

- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.

- Advise on data usage, storage, and cross-border data transfer.

- Manage IP matters including trademarks and licensing.

6. Business Support

- Act as a legal advisor to internal departments.

- Support new product launches and market expansion.

- Conduct legal training for internal teams.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Law;

- Licensed lawyer (where applicable).

Experience:

- 3+ years of legal experience, preferably in fintech, banking, or financial services.

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of fintech regulations.

- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Business-oriented mindset.

- Good command of English.
