About the Lab
The Quantum AI & Cyber Security Institute (QACI) was established by FPT Corporation as part of a long-term commitment to advancing foundational technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Quantum technologies, and Cyber Security.
QACI operates through independent, specialized research labs focusing on applied and foundational research, technology prototyping, and the development of solutions with real-world relevance. The Institute works closely with universities, postgraduate programs, and international research partners.
We are building a Decision Intelligence & Optimization Lab focused on advancing solutions and core technologies at the intersection of data, learning, decision-making under uncertainty, and optimization for real-world, high-impact applications.
Our mission is threefold:
- Develop core technologies in Decision Intelligence and Optimization, including Deep learning, Reinforcement learning, Optimization, and modern AI paradigms such as Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Deliver data-driven decision solutions for real-world problems such as data analytics, recommendation, optimization, and anomaly detection, in collaboration with industry partners.
- Collaborate with leading universities and internationally recognized scholars to jointly train PhD students, nurture exceptional talents, and advance the field through high-quality publications in top-tier AI conferences and journals.
We are looking for Junior and Senior AI Engineers to design, implement, and deploy AI solutions and core technologies in Decision Intelligence and Optimization. AI Engineers will work at the intersection of Data, Learning, Decision-making and Optimization, closely with AI Scientists within the lab and external partners to translate algorithms, models, and research ideas into robust, scalable, and product-ready AI systems for real-world decision-making problems.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and deploy AI solutions based on reinforcement learning, optimization, machine learning, and modern AI paradigms (e.g., Generative AI, LLMs).
- Translate research ideas, algorithms, and models developed by AI Scientists into end-to-end AI systems suitable for real-world applications.
- Deliver data-driven decision solutions for problems such as data analytics, recommendation, optimization, and anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with industry partners and solution teams to integrate AI solutions into real-world workflows and systems.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, training workflows, and evaluation frameworks.
- Optimize model performance, scalability, and computational efficiency.
- Contribute to reusable codebases, internal tools, and engineering best practices that support both applied solutions and long-term technology development.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience (Senior) or 1+ year (Junior) implementing AI or machine learning solutions in real-world projects.
- Strong programming skills in Python; experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Recommendation Systems or Anomaly Detection
- Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning
- Optimization (convex, Bayesian, heuristics, combinatorial)
- Generative AI
- Large-scale data-driven machine learning
- Solid understanding of data processing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including research and industry-facing teams.
Nice to have
- Experience in applied domains such as Logistics, Telecom, Finance, Material Design, or Operations.
- Experience building or deploying production-grade AI systems.
- Familiarity with MLOps, distributed training, or scalable ML infrastructure.
- Exposure to Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
