Job Description

Objectives

We are looking for a craft-obsessed, conceptually sharp Art Director who can set the visual bar for our most ambitious campaigns and own the look-and-feel from the first frame of a TVC to the last pixel of a key visual. With 5+ years built inside production houses and agencies, you bring real production fluency — you know what it takes to take an idea from a board to a beautifully shot, beautifully finished piece of work. You will be the person clients and creatives trust to elevate the craft, defend the idea, and make every deliverable feel premium. The bar at PMAX is high; we want someone who is not satisfied with on-brief and pushes every execution toward award-worthy.

Job Description

Creative Direction & Visual Craft

  • Own the art direction and visual identity of campaigns across TVC, KV, digital, social, and integrated executions — defining mood, tone, composition, color, and styling.
  • Translate strategy and creative concepts into compelling visual systems that are distinctive, on-brand, and built to perform.
  • Set and uphold the craft standard for the team; review and elevate work before it reaches the client.

TVC & Production Leadership

  • Lead the visual execution of TVC and video productions end-to-end — storyboard, shot design, art & set direction, casting and styling input, on-set supervision, and post-production grading/finishing.
    • Partner with production houses, directors, DOPs, and editors to ensure the on-screen craft matches the creative intent.
    • Manage visual feasibility against budget, timeline, and shoot logistics without compromising the idea.
Concept & Idea Development

  • Collaborate with Strategy, Copywriting, and Creative leadership to develop big ideas and bring them to life visually from pitch to execution.
  • Build pitch-winning decks, key visuals, and visual references that sell the idea convincingly to clients.
  • Bring category fluency across FMCG, Home, and Real Estate — adapting craft and visual codes to each industry's audience and brand world.

Collaboration & Client Craft

  • Present and defend creative work to clients with clarity and conviction; translate feedback into stronger executions.
  • Work cross-functionally with Account, Media, and Producers to keep work on-brief, on-time, and on-budget.
  • Mentor and direct designers and junior art on project teams, raising the overall craft of the studio.

Job Requirements

Must Have

Skills, Knowledge & Qualification

  • 5+ years of experience as an Art Director or strong Senior Designer, with significant time inside a production house and/or creative agency.
  • Strong, demonstrable art and design craft — composition, typography, color, photography/film aesthetics — with a portfolio that proves it.
  • Hands-on TVC / video production experience: storyboarding, on-set art direction, working with directors/DOPs, and post-production finishing.
  • Proven category experience across FMCG, Home, and Real Estate.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects / Premiere) and modern design/AI tools.
  • Excellent visual storytelling and the ability to present and defend ideas to senior clients.

Good To Have

  • Award recognition (local or regional creative/effectiveness awards) or notable case studies.
  • Motion design, 3D, or CGI/retouching direction capability.
  • Experience directing photoshoots and managing freelance/production vendor networks.
  • Working English for international briefs and regional collaboration.

Mindset

  • Problem-solving: Approaches creative and production challenges with structured thinking. Doesn't wait to be told the answer — builds visual hypotheses, tests them, and moves forward.
  • AI-first: Actively uses AI tools to ideate, visualize, and produce faster and better. Sees AI as a creative multiplier, not a threat to craft.
  • Can-do attitude: Embraces ambiguity and high standards. Takes ownership of the craft even when the path isn't clear. Finds a way to make it look exceptional.

PMAX-er Identification

  • Client Impact: Everything we do is ultimately to deliver real client impact and value.
  • Innovation: Innovation is to drive change and innovative new ideas to create more values for clients, teams and society.
  • People development: People development is to attract, develop, and retain the most talented people. Development is a responsibility, not a choice, of both the individual as well as the organization.
  • Integrity: Integrity is to be honest and show a consistent and uncompromising adherence to what is right, even if it is at our own cost.
  • Teamwork and fun: Teamwork and fun is the cooperative and collaborative effort of a team to achieve a common goal or to complete a task, and trying to build a joyful & enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.
  • Extreme ownership: Extreme Ownership is the practice of owning everything in your world, to an extreme degree. Think of yourself as the owner of the company. It means you are responsible for not just those tasks which you directly control, but for all those that affect whether or not your task is successful.

  • Holiday activities, Company Trip, Year End Party, Company Birthday, Culture Day, and Quarterly Town Halls.
