Job Description

General Description

  • Be fully responsible for Contract Logistics Operations in all areas of assigned operations sites.
  • Develop and execute operations strategies to grow market share and achieve financial/profitability in Department.
  • Manage selected key account customers with the objective of retaining and growing the business.
  • Lead the team to meet or exceed company objectives in area of quality, productivity and efficiency to highest benefits while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Specific Accountabilities

1. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Lead the commercial discussion witch customers for contract renewal activities or additional service requirements for appointed key accounts including operational performance reviews, business reviews, solution proposals, and negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact to understand customer business needs and ensure long-term partnership growth.
  • Professionally represent the company in all customer-facing meetings, business reviews
  • Be the escalation contact point for the customers about all issues, initiatives, and new projects
  • Monitor customer contract compliance, profitability, and account performance, providing suggestions / recommendations to management on commercial strategies, pricing adjustments, and risk mitigation actions.

2. Operational Performance and SLA Management:

  • Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team.
  • Be the main person in charge of the warehousing operations, customer service to achieve designated SLA KPI and service levels.
  • Lead managers and executives to achieve SLA
  • Work with project management team to implement new business or revise current products and procedures

3. Financial Management:

  • Direct annual budgeting and planning process for assigned Sites to obtain country's P&L target
  • Develop and manage to deliver annual budget and monthly P&L.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of assigned area's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.

4. Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze and implement process flow improvements, to include capabilities for growth.
  • Generate and implement strategies to improve service level and improve efficiency throughout the organization.
  • Drive the Continuous Improvement program together with Operation Excellence, raising the level of operational standards in line with agreed targets.
  • Promote 5S, continuous improvement (CIP), Good Catch and lean thinking including innovation.

5. Leadership and Team Management:

  • Build up a strong Operations Management team capable of driving Operations independently and meet or even exceed customers expectations.
  • Ensure no. of resources, manpower and equipment to meet the operations requirement.
  • Determine optimum staffing model for the department.
  • Assess and plan staff skill development and career management to ensure all staffs are trained and fully equipped to perform their responsibilities and have the opportunity for career growth.
  • Evaluate employee performance and motivate to achieve high productivity
  • Identify successor and build up and execute a proactive coaching plan to prepare the successor for next stage

6. Compliance Management  

  • Lead the Operations team to be compliance with:
  • QHSSE regulations
  • ISO standard requirement according to Company policy and Customer requirements.
  • TAPA A or C, RBA if any or any special standards applied for specific sites due to customers requirements

7. Additional Tasks Assigned by Line Manager:

  • Other tasks as assigned by line manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics or related fields.
  • More than 10 years of working experience in management level of Operations in Contract Logistics Industry – MNC and High-tech Experience is preferable.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory) and Chinese (optional but highly preferable) and computer literacy
  • Ability to work in high-pressure & dynamic situations, in both a team and independent environment
  • Knowledge of contract management and Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.
  • Experience in P&L management against annual budget
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce to achieve desired results.
  • High analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close deal is a plus
  • Responsible, initiative, proactive and able to coordinate people to work as a team
  • Good interpersonal and strong presentation skills
  • Key Account Management
  • Be willing to travel weekly between different locations in the North: Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc

Working place: Need to travel to Sites on weekly basis
