Our partner, Hesco, established in 1976, is a reputable player in the field of integrated consultancy services.We have launched a Joint Venture with Hesco, known as Archesco, a unique alliance in the realm of construction and consultancy services for the Middle East and specifically Saudi Arabia markets.Archesco is working for major local players, with a strong focus on architecture, design, and project management in the luxury, real estate, and hospitality sectors.With a dedicated office in Vietnam, the team of Archesco will also be working together with our new team members of Archetype Tunisia to support the fast-growing demands in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Role Description
The Architect Team Lead role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As a key member of the team, you will lead architectural design projects, oversee team members, ensure the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, and manage project timelines. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
Lead the production of design drawings of medium or large scale projects by managing the team resources,
ensuring the schedule of the project is met, coordinating within the team and across the other disciplines
(Structural, Civil, MEP).
• Ensuring that the drawings for each project are well organized, clear and professional.
• Ensure that appropriate design quality standards (including following CAD standards) are met for all designs
made within their team.
• Manage other team members who are leading a project, and provide them with appropriate assistance to ensure
the proper design quality and scheduling is met.
• Administrative management of the architectural team including checking time sheets, production progress,
ensuring proper team time management and efficiency.
• Attend client meetings with their Design Manager or Director as required, and provide appropriate support and
assistance to these meetings.
• Attend site meetings, check contractor submittals, meet suppliers and other construction-related functions as
required under the supervision of the Design Manager.
• Research via the internet, networking and meeting suppliers in order to identify appropriate materials for the project.
• Check team member timesheets and approve or adjust them as appropriate.
• Assign team members to their design team for each project, or for specific tasks within projects.
• Sign all drawings produced by their team.
• Attend interviews for team member recruitment.
• Report to the Design Manager regarding the contractor submittals, and ensure Design Manager approval.
Competencies
• Degree qualified in Architecture.
• A minimum of 8-10 years experience in Architecture and Design Coordination, and a minimum of 3 years
experience leading architectural design teams.
• Advanced skills with AutoCAD, and a good working knowledge of Revit.
• Advanced design management and organizational skills with the ability to manage the time of others in an
efficient manner, ensuring that project milestones are met within expected timeframes.
• Advanced ability to produce design details including: waterproofing, windows, etc.
• Intermediate knowledge of design standards and codes.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
