APQP PROJECT ENGINEER

Location: KCN VSIP 1, Ho Chi Minh City

Working Time: Monday to Friday

Shuttle Bus: Available from Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and nearby areas.

Job Summary

We are looking for an APQP Project Engineer to join our Engineering Department and coordinate APQP and PPAP activities throughout the product development lifecycle.

This role will work closely with NPI & Improvement Engineers and serve as a key contact point among Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers regarding APQP status, PPAP documentation, project quality, and production launch readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage APQP activities throughout the product development and production launch phases.
  • Develop, maintain, and follow up on project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and launch schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, APQP standards, and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate the preparation, review, follow-up, and submission of PPAP documentation according to customer requirements.
  • Work with NPI & Improvement Engineers, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and suppliers to collect, verify, and complete required PPAP documents.
  • Track PPAP submission status, open issues, customer feedback, and corrective actions until final approval.
  • Support FMEA development, Control Plan creation, Process Flow Diagram reviews, and other quality planning activities.
  • Organize and lead project meetings, including APQP reviews, PPAP reviews, risk assessments, and launch readiness reviews.
  • Track and report project status, risks, issues, corrective actions, and project updates to management and customers.
  • Manage customer communications related to APQP status, PPAP submission, project quality, and launch activities.
  • Ensure APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow Diagram, and related project documentation are properly maintained and updated.
  • Facilitate problem-solving activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives during project development and launch phases.
  • Support supplier APQP activities and monitor supplier readiness for production launch.
  • Follow up action plans with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely project completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or other related technical fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in APQP, PPAP, Quality Engineering, Project Engineering, NPI, Process Engineering, or related roles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow Diagram, MSA, SPC, and quality planning tools.
  • Experience in PPAP preparation, document control, customer submission, or new product launch is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and product development activities.
  • Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Good command of English, especially in reading technical documents, writing reports, and communicating with customers.
  • Experience in automotive, electronics, electrical, mechanical, or related manufacturing industries is preferred.
