Application Engineer for Heavy Industry Solution

Title:Application Engineer (Heavy Industrial Solution - HIS)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

Responsible for product management for Heavy Industrial Solution (HIS) products.

Effectively provide technical, application, commissioning & engineering support on relevant product group (current & new) to external clients as well as internal clients. (such as Sales, Service and Production departments)

Understand technical requirements / innovation needs from customer and provide suitable solutions from standard to customized product.

Actively monitor and support to achieve the company's yearly sales target for the relevant product group.

Monitor and ensure Application Engineering Mechatronics support KPIs via ticketing system are timely met.

Act as point of contact between SEW-EUDODRIVE worldwide offices for the relevant product group.

Develop and provide technical training modules for both internal and external clients and ensure the defined technical competency of the Sales and Service departments on the relevant product group.

Design and build demonstration systems for the purpose of in-house evaluation and testing as well as for demonstrations to external and internal clients.

Manage relevant documentation (technical / engineering data, catalogues, standards, relevant accessories, competitor comparison information, success stories, etc.) and provide Ad-hoc reporting for relevant product group.

Support in marketing campaigns (e.g. participation in trade shows, seminars, etc.) and assist in preparation of marketing material. (Brochures, catalogues, etc.)

Develop new opportunities through reviewing industry trends, application knowledge and understanding of various industries requirement in the market.

Create feasibility analysis and evaluation of future product ideas for sales team.

Prerequisites

Possess a degree in Mechatronics / Mechanical or Diploma holder with 1 - 2 years related work experience.

Independent, responsible and self-motivated with a hands-on approach to work.

Results oriented and prepared for job challenges in a demanding and fast paced environment.

Technically incline and willingness to travel regionally.

Experience with CAD drawing tools / FEM analysis software is preferred

Competent in presentation / report writing skills.

Proficiency in English.
