JOB TITLE: APAC Product Manager
REPORTS TO: General Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute regional market growth strategies for key verticals (BCCP, Healthcare, Automotive) and priority geographies in APAC.
- Conduct market mapping, customer segmentation, and trend analysis to identify high-value opportunities.
- Monitor competitive landscape including products, pricing, and technology; translate insights into actionable plans.
- Own the APAC portfolio strategy and product roadmap, defining positioning, differentiation, and target applications.
- Manage full product lifecycle from concept to launch, including continuous improvement, rationalization, and phase-out.
- Track portfolio performance using KPIs (margin, volume, mix, yield, cost, share) and lead corrective actions.
- Establish regional pricing guidance based on value, competition, and raw material movements; support key negotiations.
- Lead NPD prioritization for APAC in partnership with R&D and Manufacturing.
- Champion a global-first formulation approach, approving localized changes only when justified.
- Define product requirements including specifications, technical data sheets, and application guidelines.
- Coordinate trials, pilot runs, scale-up, and validation with Manufacturing and Quality.
- Provide product expertise to Sales via customer meetings, technical presentations, and application guidance.
- Support customer trials, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Partner with manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance) to ensure supply reliability.
- Support demand planning, commercial forecasting, and inventory alignment; drive risk mitigation actions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical related major; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in product management, technical service, R&D, or commercial roles within polymer compounds, plastics & additives, or masterbatch.
- Experience in formulation development, compounding technologies, or manufacturing processes highly preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of materials, formulations, and compounding processes.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into commercial value propositions.
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, market insight, and data-driven decision making.
- Proven cross-functional collaboration and project leadership skills
