Key Responsibilities
- Governance Framework Establishment: Develop and update AML/CFT policies; design and implement bank-wide KYC, CDD, and EDD procedures.
- Monitoring & Investigation: Operate the transaction monitoring system; directly investigate and approve Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) for submission to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV).
- Sanctions Management: Provide advisory services and handle matters related to international sanctions lists (e.g., UN, OFAC, EU).
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive AML risk assessments for new products, services, and technologies prior to implementation.
- Reporting & External Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for inspection and audit agencies; prepare management reports for the Executive Board and the Board of Directors.
- Team Leadership: Organize the department structure, lead, train, and develop staff as assigned by senior management.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 7 – 12 years of experience in AML, Compliance, or Risk Management within banking or financial institutions, with proven experience in team/department management.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Vietnamese Anti-Money Laundering Law and international standards (FATF).
- Skills: Exceptional financial data analysis capabilities, strong risk management mindset, and decisive decision-making skills.
Language: Proficiency in professional English (essential for handling international sanctions lists and regulatory standards).
