Android Application Engineer (App Layer - Junior)

Responsibilities

  • Lead APP module development and feature implementation
  • Design and develop Android applications using modern architectures
  • Optimize code performance, quality, and stability
  • Participate in requirements analysis and design phases
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers
  • Write and maintain unit & UI tests
  • Debug technical issues and improve app performance

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Android development experience
  • Solid foundation in Java/Kotlin programming
  • Familiar with Android framework, SDK, and features
  • Proficient in OOP, data structures, and design patterns
  • Good coding habits and understanding of app release process
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice to have

  • Experience with Android Jetpack (Compose, DataStore)
  • Infotainment or automotive projects background
  • Android performance and memory optimization
  • Experience with REST APIs and Git workflows
  • CI/CD pipeline experience

Android Framework Engineer (AAOS Core Platform & Multimedia)

Responsibilities

  • Customize and extend Android Automotive CarService architecture
  • Design and implement custom AIDL/HIDL interfaces for system-level services
  • Modify core Android power state machines and vehicle-specific features
  • Develop and maintain HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) interfaces
  • Build system services for multi-user profiles, time sync, and positioning
  • Debug internal Android system crashes using logcat, dumpsys, debuggerd
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 safety standards
  • Collaborate with hardware teams and optimize system performance

Requirements

  • 3-6+ years of Android Framework development experience
  • Deep expertise in AOSP architecture, System Server, and Binder IPC
  • Advanced proficiency in Java and C++ within Android framework
  • Strong knowledge of AIDL/HIDL interfaces and HAL binding
  • Experience customizing AOSP framework layer
  • Understanding of Linux kernel and device drivers
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Direct experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) branch
  • Connectivity & Telematics systems experience

Android HMI App Engineer (Automotive UI/SDK - Intermediate to Senior)

Responsibilities

  • Develop HMI (Human Machine Interface) applications and SDKs for Android Automotive
  • Build responsive UI using Jetpack Compose with widgets, templates, and themes
  • Design and implement reusable UI components and frameworks
  • Ensure scalability, modularity, and cross-device compatibility
  • Collaborate with designers to deliver consistent UX across vehicle systems
  • Write unit, integration, and UI tests (JUnit, Espresso, Mockito)
  • Mentor junior engineers and enforce best practices
  • Manage platform/ecosystem APIs and virtualization layers

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of Android development experience
  • Strong experience with Jetpack Compose & modern UI development
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java
  • Experience building reusable UI component libraries
  • Knowledge of Android Automotive / IVI systems
  • Familiar with design patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture)
  • SOLID principles and Agile methodologies

Platform Engineer (Android, QNX, BSP, Kernel, Build System)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain product variant handling and board configurations
  • Integrate sensor HAL, drivers, and hardware abstraction layers
  • Manage partition layouts and bootloader configurations
  • Integrate Google attestation, Weave components, and security features
  • Design software architecture for Android Middleware/Platform
  • Ensure compliance with Google Automotive requirements and xTS standards
  • Drive OEM and factory alignment on key management and CSR uploads
  • Maintain unified configuration handling solutions
  • Support hypervisor, kernel, and build system optimization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 2-6+ years of professional embedded software development experience
  • Strong experience in Android platform development
  • Proficiency in C++, Java, Python, and shell scripting
  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (GTest)
  • Experience working with build systems and configurations
  • Fluent in spoken English
