Analyst, Security Risk Reporting - Security Governance

We are seeking a dynamic professional to play a key role in supporting critical security governance activities across NAB Group. In this role, you will gather and consolidate data from multiple systems, tools, and dashboards to create a comprehensive view of the organization's security risk posture. Your insights will drive high-impact reporting for the Chief Security Officer (CSO), executive leadership, and board-level stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and strengthening NAB's strategic risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create impactful reports and presentations: Work closely with the Manager, Security Governance and Senior Consultant to draft executive and board-level risk reports, updates, and papers that influence key decisions.
  

• Drive risk forum excellence: Follow up and ensure timely completion of monthly risk forum content from Divisional Controls teams and subsidiaries.
  

• Innovate reporting formats: Lead the design and development of new, clear, and visually compelling reporting and presentation templates.
  

• Build a knowledge hub: Develop and maintain a centralized repository of security risk reports and presentations for easy access and consistency.
  

• Validate critical updates: Review and confirm the accuracy and alignment of security status updates from delivery and external teams, ensuring clarity and confidence in messaging.
  

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3-4 years of experience in audit or consulting, with a strong foundation in risk and governance.
  

• Deep understanding of governance and control frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, ITIL, and security standards like ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework, plus knowledge of regulatory requirements for financial institutions.
  

• Risk and Metrics Analysis: Ability to interpret security reports and metrics to assess control effectiveness and guide remediation strategies.
  

• Exceptional communication skills: Translate complex security concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  

• Report writing expertise: Craft concise, logical summaries of risk data aligned with executive and board-level expectations.
  

• Experience contributing to board packs and risk papers, ensuring clarity and impact.
  

• Financial industry background: Prior experience in banking or similar environments to understand unique security challenges.
  

• Strong collaboration skills: Work effectively with business stakeholders and analyze data to drive informed decisions.
  

• Proven stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships across diverse teams.
  

• Analytical mindset: Break down complex security issues and highlight what matters most for the audience.
