YOUR ROLE
- To act as the primary point of contact with airlines and vendors, managing daily airfreight bookings, planning optimized shipment consolidation, and ensuring accurate and efficient processing in compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO
- Monitor daily booking volumes and plan effective shipment consolidation to optimize cost and flight utilization.
- Ensure compliance with company core carrier strategy and volume commitments.
- Proactively monitor flight schedules, departures, and arrivals, providing timely updates to Customer Service and Operations teams.
- Manage and control airline space allotments in line with BSA and CPA contracts to ensure capacity availability and utilization.
- Build and optimize BUP to achieve the most cost-efficient operational outcomes.
- Prepare and submit regular market and capacity reports to management, including space trends, rate movements, and performance insights.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience working effectively within cross-functional teams
- Relevant experience in the freight forwarding industry, preferably in airfreight operations or capacity planning.
- Demonstrated initiative and proactive problem-solving in daily operations and planning activities. · Strong understanding of load planning principles and basic BUP methodology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners. · Effective negotiation skills to secure optimal capacity and commercial terms with airlines.
