AI Technical Lead

Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on Lead AI Platform Engineer (AI Technical Lead) to drive the architecture, governance, and operational excellence of AI systems across the organization. This role will lead the AI Engineering team and establish the technical foundation that enables safe, scalable, and reliable deployment of AI-powered products, copilots, and autonomous agents.

Key Responsibilities:

● Design and evolve the internal agent platform – execution environments, prompt management pipelines, tool registries, and memory/retrieval infrastructure used by all internal agents.

● Define and enforce guardrail standards across all agents: output validation, fallback logic, safety layers, human-in-the-loop escalation policies, and compliance constraints.

● Build observability and eval tooling – trace pipelines, behavioral evals, cost monitoring, and regression test suites so teams can ship agents with confidence.

● Establish engineering standards, reusable agent templates, and internal SDKs that let product and domain teams self-serve agent development safely.

● Lead and grow the AI Engineering team: hiring, mentoring, technical reviews, periodically planning, and keeping engineers unblocked and aligned.

● Act as the embedded technical partner for BUs and departments – translating their workload-reduction goals into viable agent architectures and delivery roadmaps.

● Stay on top of the fast-moving LLM and agentic AI landscape – evaluate new models, frameworks, and tooling, and make pragmatic adoption decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

● 5+ years in software engineering, with at least 2 years working on LLM-based systems, agentic workflows, or ML platform infrastructure;

● Demonstrated experience architecting multi-agent or agentic systems in production – not just prototyping with frameworks;

● Strong grasp of prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, tool use, agent memory patterns, and evaluation methodologies;

● Solid foundation in Python and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure); comfortable with containerization, APIs, and async systems;

● Track record of technical leadership – mentoring engineers, conducting design reviews, and influencing cross-functional decisions without needing positional authority;

● Strong communicator who can translate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders across business units.

Nice to have:

● Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom orchestration layers.

● Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI principles, or enterprise AI risk frameworks.

● Experience building AI platforms for marketplace, O2O, or on-demand service businesses.
