About the role:
This is a full-time remote contractor role for a mid-level developer who uses AI tools — particularly Claude Code — as their primary way of building. You will work across multiple platforms and internal systems, automating manual processes, building new portals, and improving existing ones.
You will not be given detailed specifications for every task. You will be given a problem and expected to architect and deliver a solution independently. This is a role for someone who is resourceful, fast, and genuinely excited about what AI-assisted development can do.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Development
- Edge Academy website and learning platform (Next.js 14, Supabase, Sanity CMS, Stripe, Vercel)
- StarHub CRM system (Next.js, NestJS, MongoDB)
- New internal portals and tools as required
Process Automation
- Identify and eliminate manual processes across MyRepublic and Edge Academy operations
- Build automated workflows using n8n, Make, Zapier, or custom integrations
- Integrate third-party tools and APIs into existing systems
- Set up notification systems, reporting dashboards, and operational tools
Ongoing Development
- Fix bugs, improve performance, and add features to existing platforms
- Review and improve code quality across all systems
- Document solutions clearly so non-technical stakeholders can understand what was built and why
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Proficiency with Claude Code or similar AI coding tools - non-negotiable
- Strong full-stack development skills (frontend + backend)
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Next.js, and Node.js
- Comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations
- Self-directed problem solver who ships solutions independently
- Clear written English communication for async collaboration
- Experience with Supabase, MongoDB, or similar databases
- Familiarity with n8n, Make, or Zapier for workflow automation
- Experience with Vercel, NestJS, or Sanity CMS
- Background working with Singapore or international clients
- Experience building internal business tools or CRM systems
