Job Purpose
The primary purpose of an AI Engineer role is to design, develop, and implement artificial intelligence systems and solutions that enhance business processes, automate tasks, and deliver data-driven insights. This position bridges advanced machine learning techniques and state-of-the-art AI models | technology with practical applications to drive efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, train, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning & AI models to solve insurance business problems, focus on turning prototypes into production-ready solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineers, delivery managers, business analysts, and software engineers to turn prototypes into scalable AI services.
- Assess and choose appropriate machine learning & AI model architectures (classification, regression, clustering, recommendation, etc. or suitable AI models).
- Design and develop AI Agents to fully automate and leverage Agentic AI.
- Preferred: Ensure that ethical AI frameworks are mandated and complied.
- Stay updated with the latest AI research and new technologies, including state-of-the-art generative AIs and agent frameworks.
Job Accountability /
- AI Solution Development: Designing, developing, training, finetuning, and testing machine learning & AI models to solve specific business problems.
- System Integration and Deployment: Integrating AI models into existing software infrastructure and deploying them into production environments, often using APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms like GCP or Azure.
- Performance Optimization: Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing AI systems for performance, efficiency, scalability, and security to ensure they provide accurate real-time results.
- Innovation and R&D: Staying current with the latest AI advancements, research, and tools, and identifying new opportunities for AI applications that drive innovation and enhance business processes.
- AI Practices: Ensuring AI systems are developed with fairness, transparency, and security in mind.
- Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, delivery managers, software engineers, business analysts, and business stakeholders.

Technical Skills:
- Programming: Python.
- Mathematics: Strong foundation in Linear Algebra, Calculus, Probability, and Statistics.
- AI Engineering: Inferencing APIs, Multimodality, LLMs, RAG, Fine-tuning frameworks, MCP, & Prompt Engineering.
- Preferred: Machine Learning: Understanding algorithms (decision trees, random forest regression, gradient descendent, deep-learning, vanishing gradient problem, etc.) with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
- Preferred: experience with major cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Preferred: Version control (Git), containerization (Docker), & CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities & Knowledge Areas:
