In this role, you will be instrumental in the Vehicle Performance Center, using your extensive skills to process and analyze large volumes of data. You will collaborate with diverse teams, including CAE Styling VA, Chief Engineer, Vehicle Line Director and VINFAST suppliers, to create cutting-edge solutions that will drive the future of transportation
Job Responsibilites:
- Define all Vehicle Aero targets
- Ensure all vehicle aero requirements are effectively cascade to systems and components level. Considering cross-attribute effects and providing input for design changes and optimisations
- Conducting all aspects of vehicle aero simulation, objective testing from instrumenting to processing and reporting results.
- Conduct Physical and virtual analysis during the design and the development phases to ensure vehicle aero target is achieved
- Collaborate closely with other Performance Managers to define, achieve, and validate performance targets
- Conduct in-depth analyses of test and simulation data to identify root causes and propose practical, effective solutions for attribute improvement and target achievement
- Support the development and refinement of attribute testing procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of outcomes
- Prepare detailed technical reports and provide actionable insights to performance management and cross-functional teams
- Continuously remain informed about industry best practices, new methodologies, and technological advancements relevant to the specialized attribute area
Requirements
Degree/Qualification:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace or related fields
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Automotive Vehicle Aerodynamic attribute
Experience:
- Hands-on experience in vehicle aerodynamic target setting and cascade, data analysis, testing simulation, optimization, problem solving
- Proficiency with vehicle aerodynamic simulation and testing tools instrumentation and sensor setups
- Skilled in performing and coordinating standard vehicle aerodynamic-specific simulation and testing processes (road tests, rig tests, laboratory tests, environmental chamber tests)
- Familiarity with vehicle aerodynamic-related analytical tools and software relevant to the specialized area
- Demonstrated ability to closely collaborate with other performance managers and cross-functional teams to effectively implement improvements
- Proficient in interpreting test and simulation data, performing root-cause analysis, and clearly communicating findings and recommendations

- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, hands-on, and collaborative environment
- Strong proficiency in structured problem-solving methodologies (DFMEA, DVP, 8D, 5Y, DFSS, FTA, Fish Bone)
