JOB SUMMARY
- Act as the Operations lead for NPD projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities (ME/IE/QE/ME/Production/PMC) to ensure process readiness.
- Evaluate design& process feasibility and provide DFM input.
- Lead process planning, trials, and validation through QB/PP/1st MP builds.
- Drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, andensure safe/stable product launch.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
1.NPD Project Support (Operations Lead)
- Lead & coordinate Operations deliverables for assigned NPD projects.
- Participate in design/technical reviews and provideactionable DFM/DFA feedback.
- Build and execute readiness plans, identify risks, and driveclosure with functional teams.
2.Process Feasibility & Design Assessment
- Evaluate product designfor manufacturability (DFM)and operation impact.
- Review tolerances, materials, assembly sequence, ergonomics, and risk points.
- Provide early feedback to design/R&D teamsto influence robustproduct design.
- Review the processdocuments such as Layout/WI/Fixture list.
3.Process Planning & Validation
- Review andcontribute to process flow, critical parameters, tool/fixture needs, and quality controls.
- Lead processtrials, QB/PP/1st MP builds, and validate capability & stability.
- Ensure allprocess risks are addressed via PFMEA.
4.Issue Resolution &Risk Mitigation
- Lead cross-functional problemsolving during builds.
- Identify root causes,implement containment, and drive corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure risk mitigation plans are completed before mass production.
5.Documentation & Launch Readiness
- Prepare build readiness checklists, process sheets, SOPs, and validation reports.
- Support ramp-up and handover to manufacturing teams for mass production.
- Review PSR (Problem SummaryReport) after every builds to ensure improvingthe gaps.
6.Report
- Consolidate daily/weekly buildhighlights, key issues,risk status, and readiness progress.
- Provide clear updates on project timeline, actions, build results,and pending items to APE Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or
equivalent.
Experience
- 2+ yearsexperience in process engineering/NPD/manufacturing.
Knowledge
- Basic understanding of project phases,timelines, and riskhandling or Project management.
- LEAN manufacturing.
- Knowledge of build stages(EB/QB/PP/1st MP) andrelease/change approval flow.
Functional Skills
- DFM/DFA andtechnical feasibility assessment.
- Process engineering, layout, and cycle time analysis.
- Fixture/tooling requirements and process documentation.
- PFMEA, control plan, and risk mitigation.
- Build readiness, validation, and issue resolution.
